    Leaderboard Season 14, blind tasting

    Really enjoyed this and thought it was virtually identical to a previous canephora I'd had from the same roaster (that one was Chakri Warmi from Ecuador).

    There is a chocolate aroma, bright fruity notes, vanilla, papaya, and a hint of genmaicha (Japanese rice tea). The two Suedhang robustas I've had are the best specialty robustas I've ever had and the only two I've really had that I'd order off a menu.

Light roast coffee is a delicately roasted coffee that retains more of the beans' natural flavors and characteristics. Light-roasted coffees have bright acidity, complex fruit, and floral notes. Light roast coffee does not have less caffeine than darker roasts because caffeine levels remain stable during roasting.

The specialty coffee industry in Vietnam has been gaining traction in recent years, with its Robusta coffee making its way into third-wave coffee shops and retail markets, driven in part by its diaspora. While more than 90% of coffee produced in Vietnam is robusta, they also produce some specialty-grade Arabica coffee. Vietnam's Central Highlands are a highly productive plateau for coffee plants.
