I'm generally not a huge Indian coffee fan, but this one was totally different than anything I've had before, not the chocolate/earthy style at all.

It drinks a little backwards with a smooth orange pekoe type finish. A caramel sweetness hits first, then some honey/raspberry. It definitely has a unique overarching philosophy. Suedhang says magnolia, I don't really have a strong sense of that one, but I thought wildflower.

A nice, balanced roast with a light-feeling flavor profile. The flavor leans floral/lemon, complemented with a nicely sweet acidity.

Maybe my first Indian coffee? A nice spicy kick complimented by really strong bergamot note. Rich and strong. A great cup to start your day with.

More Details

Roast Level: Light
Light roast coffee is a delicately roasted coffee that retains more of the beans' natural flavors and characteristics. Light-roasted coffees have bright acidity, complex fruit, and floral notes. Light roast coffee does not have less caffeine than darker roasts because caffeine levels remain stable during roasting.
Bean Source Country: India
India is a huge country with diverse growing regions, such as Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, each offering unique flavor profiles due to varied elevations, microclimates, and soil types. These coffees often exhibit low acidity, full body, and a range of flavors, including spicy, earthy, and chocolatey notes. These characteristics made Indian coffee sought after for blends, but the specialty coffee world is increasingly discovering the terroir of varied Indian lots.
