This Carmen Estates Gesha is a coffee that truly captivates the senses. Upon the first sip, it's immediately evident that this is a coffee of exceptional quality.

The Earl Grey and bergamot notes are pronounced, offering a sophisticated and aromatic experience. The floral and tropical elements are intertwined, creating a delightful complexity. The initial burst of cherry and pineapple is brigh.

As the coffee lingers on the palate, the subtlety of Satsuma and lime emerges towards the end, adding layers of nuance to the flavor profile. What's remarkable is that the bergamot note remains present throughout, ensuring a harmonious and balanced taste from start to finish. There’s definitely a lot of acidity here, so folks should note that depending on their preferences.

Cupping Method:Brewed at 201/203F in a Hario v60. Comparison tasting with another Rogue wave Gesha (natural/extended fermentation)

Maybe the best coffee I’ve had. So wonderfully smooth, complex, somehow both easy and super interesting.

Wow, this is a truly unique roast! Light and floral-- lime with a hint of sweet cherry. I would like to try this as a summer cold brew.

More Details

Roast Level: Light
Light roast coffee is a delicately roasted coffee that retains more of the beans' natural flavors and characteristics. Light-roasted coffees have bright acidity, complex fruit, and floral notes. Light roast coffee does not have less caffeine than darker roasts because caffeine levels remain stable during roasting.
Bean Source Country: Panama
Panamanian coffee stands out for its exceptional flavor profiles, high quality, and varied growing conditions. Hailing from distinct regions such as Boquete, Volcán, and Renacimiento, these beans often exhibit bright, fruity, chocolatey notes. The unique microclimates, rich volcanic soil, and high elevations in Panama contribute to the coffee's outstanding taste and complexity.
