Barista at Salt and Light in Groton made me a French press with this roast,

It was a beautiful take on an Ethiopian coffee at a light-medium roast. Smooth and sweet, with peach, black tea, and floral notes. I usually steer clear of anything beyond a light roast for Ethiopian beans because bitterness can creep in, but this had none of that—just clean, natural sweetness and a silky, smooth mouthfeel. Absolutely excellent.

More Details

Roast Level: Light Medium
A Light Medium Roast coffee, sometimes referred to as a "City Roast" or "American Roast," lies between a light and medium roast. This roast level strikes a balance by preserving the coffee bean's unique characteristics while allowing for a moderate development of body and flavor. The beans have a medium brown color, exhibiting a slight sheen of oils, providing a more balanced and nuanced flavor profile. A Light Medium Roast typically highlights the coffee's inherent fruity, floral, or citrus notes, while also providing some of the deeper, richer flavors associated with medium roasts.
Bean Source Country: Ethiopia
Widely regarded as the birthplace of coffee, Ethiopia boasts diverse and complex flavors, from bright, floral, and citrusy in Yirgacheffe to wine-like and berry-toned in Sidama. The country's heirloom varieties, combined with unique processing methods, make Ethiopian coffee truly distinctive and sought-after by enthusiasts worldwide.
Bean Source Region: Guji
Guji is a renowned coffee-growing region in southern Ethiopia, known for producing exceptional coffees with distinctive flavor profiles. Coffee from Guji is characterized by its vibrant acidity, floral aroma, and complex fruity notes. It often exhibits flavors of ripe berries, citrus, and stone fruits, with a medium body and a lingering sweetness.
