As a cold brew, this roast presented as bright, acidic, and woody with a touch of sweetness. However, I did not like how the acidity lingered languidly at the finish.
Cupping Method:cold brew

This roast struck me as quite dry with an subtle walnut flavor and a nice acidity. There was a slight tendency towards bitterness at the end of each sip, otherwise the flavor was consistent.
Cupping Method:Vietnamese drip

This coffee had a weaker flavor profile than I was expecting. There was a nice, high, clean initial flavor, but it did not round out after the initial taste. The flavor hinted of chocolate, faded quickly, and finished with a slight bitterness. I would recommend using extra beans if you prefer a fuller flavor.

The flavor is a bit high and dry on it own, maintaining a stable taste throughout sipping. As a latte, the flavor presents as more full with an interesting nuttiness.Rated: 3.50

It has a darker roast taste (I prefer a lighter roast), starts rich and falls off a bit towards the end of the sip. The flavor profile tilts slightly towards sweet with a touch of bitterness. It makes a nice espresso. I really appreciate the company social and environmental responsibility!Rated: 3.50

Lightly flavored, low aroma, with a bit of a lively citrus undertone. It did not have cocoa and caramel flavors as advertised on the package, so I will need to revisit with another tasting.Rated: 3.50

This roast presents as a much darker medium, with flavor trending towards a bitter chocolate, accompanied with a light burnt sugar.
Cupping Method:moka espresso

This prepackaged honey and coffee blend had a very strong honey flavor (actually a bit too sweet for me), but the coffee flavoring was a bit muted. When I am at work, without cream available, I keep some condensed milk on hand to sweeten. This honey/coffee blend is even more handy because nothing else is needed! I tried the latte, cafe cubano, and cacao and they all presented as similarly flavored to me.
Cupping Method:as directed on the packaging

I want to love these single serve bags because they are so convenient, but so far, they have not been my favorites. This one was weak even when brewed according to instructions and felt too flat. I might try this as cold brew next time and see if that works better.

Compared to other single serve immersion coffees, this could be considered great, but I feel like it just doesn't brew quite strong enough. The flavor is high, dry, and consistent, but also a bit weak. I am curious to try it again, prepared as a cold brew.

Deep notes, but needed cream to balance. Consistent flavor that did not deliver as strong of a punch as I was hoping. It has a nice, thick and smooth feel, which may be attributed to the chicory root fiber listed as an ingredient. The finish was a bit bitter.Rated: 3.00

A lighter-feeling coffee with an average flavor profile. There were high textures of acidity/ bitterness that rolled through each sip, finishing with a clear flavor.
Cupping Method:Vietnamese drip

The flavor was relatively weak, leaving me wondering if I brewed it correctly. The coffee was balanced, dry, and not acidic, but I prefer a stronger flavor.

Unique but relatively weaker flavor, with a dry finish. I was left wishing for a stronger flavor.

There is a hint of an interesting taste and a clean finish, but, otherwise, this tasted like an instant coffee that I wished was more flavorful.
Cupping Method:Hot, instant

Each sip opens with a light sweetness, moves to hints of caramel and chocolate, but unfortunately ends with a pervasively bitter finish. I don't recommend this roast for cold brew. I am curious to see if a different brewing method would depress the bitterness.

This was my first time trying steeped bag coffee (I used hot water brewing method). This brew, unfortunately, came across as weak and bland. It was a smooth, even drink with low acidity and no bitterness, but limited flavor.
Cupping Method:steeped bag in hot water

The flavors in this roast trends a bit more dark. The flavors are also relatively muted, so I recommend using extra beans to get a more robust flavor. There is a very distinctive and identifiable aroma, which may be the best feature of this roast. The the lingering and slightly bitter finish is a a bit unpleasant. If you like coffee that tastes like what you'd imagine you get at a generic American gas station then this is the roast for you!
Cupping Method:Vietnamese drip, cream with no sweetener

This is definitely better than gas station coffee, but still something I drank with a bit of a grimace. It was noticeably weakly flavored, but did not have any other negatives like bitterness or burnt.Rated: 2.00
