Delicious Ethiopian. Smooth and balanced and bursting with fresh peach. Not overly floral but subtly so, more honeysuckle than the bergamot or jasmine you often get.

Very easy to drink entire cup in a couple of seconds with a clean finish. Honey in texture and sweetness.

Nothing complicated here, just great Ethiopian beans treated delicately!

Cupping Method:Brewed with Hario v60 ceramic at 194F, 17:1 ratio. From The Roses Advent calendar.

More Details

Roast Level: Light
Light roast coffee is a delicately roasted coffee that retains more of the beans' natural flavors and characteristics. Light-roasted coffees have bright acidity, complex fruit, and floral notes. Light roast coffee does not have less caffeine than darker roasts because caffeine levels remain stable during roasting.
Bean Source Country: Ethiopia
Widely regarded as the birthplace of coffee, Ethiopia boasts diverse and complex flavors, from bright, floral, and citrusy in Yirgacheffe to wine-like and berry-toned in Sidama. The country's heirloom varieties, combined with unique processing methods, make Ethiopian coffee truly distinctive and sought-after by enthusiasts worldwide.
Bean Source Region: Gedeb
Gedeb coffee, originating from the southern Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia, is cultivated in a unique terroir at high altitudes of 1,800 to 2,200 meters, with rich volcanic soils and a favorable climate, contributing to its exceptional quality. Its flavor is characterized by a vibrant acidity, akin to citrus or wine, combined with intricate floral notes like jasmine or bergamot, and complemented by complex fruit flavors such as peach, lemon, or berry. The coffee is predominantly made from indigenous Ethiopian heirloom varietals, known for their genetic diversity and contributing to the light to medium body and tea-like mouthfeel of the brew.
