This decaf brew delivers a smooth and easy drinking cup with a pleasing sweetness and subtle plum notes but lacks a standout trait. The medium body carries light caramel and very subtle citrus flavors, creating a balanced profile without any harsh edges. While it is enjoyable and clean, it does not have a single defining characteristic that makes it stand out. A solid choice for a mellow cup that pairs well with pastries here which are often a little too sweet (which I suppose was my objective here).

More Details

Roast Level: Medium
Medium roast coffee balances the beans' natural flavors and the roasting process, providing a well-rounded taste profile. When selecting a medium roast, look for a balance of acidity and sweetness, with caramel, nuts, and chocolate notes and a medium body.
Bean Source Country: Costa Rica
Predominantly grown in the country's high-altitude regions, Costa Rican coffee benefits from the volcanic soil, consistent rainfall, and mild tropical climate, contributing to its rich, well-rounded taste. Costa Rican coffee often features bright acidity, medium body, and complex flavor notes ranging from tropical fruit to citrus, nuttiness, and chocolate.
Bean Source Region: Antioquia
Nestled in the Andes Mountains, Antioquian farms benefit from elevations ranging from 1,200 to 1,900 meters above sea level, where the cooler temperatures and unique microclimates contribute to coffee beans with chocolate notes, vibrant acidity, full body, and a delightful combination of fruity and nutty flavors.
