This was our second Phil & Sebastian coffee recently, as we had another one in Leaderboard. We got this one in the Revolver Advent and tasted it blind.

V and I both loved this one. We got peach, chamomile, black tea, and some trailing hibiscus. Great, super smooth mouthfeel, almost glycerine. No bitterness and balanced acidity.

This is a complex roast-- hits high notes (lemon, citrus) and deeper (tart walnut with a bit of roasted hazelnut) notes. Well-crafted and enjoyable. There is a nice accompanying acidity. I would call this an excellent light roast, but I think it is actually a medium roast.

Cupping Method:Vietnamese drip, cream with no sweetener

This was a really satisfying, accessible cup with a nice feel to it. I really enjoyed the little citrus kick.

An outstanding single-origin espresso that clearly expresses the notes pecan, tamarind, and vanilla notes mentioned. Those are challenging ones to hit and be good. The tamarind is nice as it's more of an overtone than a quick burst in some coffees where it comes on too strong. As espresso, this one's pretty citrusy on the back end of the palate but doesn't get too tart.

Medium crema, medium body, nice mouthfeel.

Cupping Method:I got this as a gift from a friend from Calgary. I used it for straight espresso, a cortado, and iced Americano. It worked well in all formats.

Unassuming on the nose, but a really fantastic natural Ethiopian here.

I got black tea, jasmine, apricots, citrus, and the acidity of early season blueberries when they still have a very crisp acidity. The tartness is upfront and well-defined, another cup I got lemon zest or and a touch of green apple. This crisp acidity balances the coffee's natural sweetness and tea character. I spent a lot of time on the acidity but I do think it's a black/jasmine tea forward coffee.

Cupping Method:Leaderboard Season 18, Coffee #10. My favorite of the season.

A sensational Ethiopian with a lot of natural sweetness. Perfectly balanced florality. Strawberry, lavender, jasmine, peach, and honey are notes I get. The finish is citrus.

Cupping Method:This came from Roaster's Pack Advent (yes I'm way behind). 18:1, 92C on Hario v60.
