A Sumatran that wows off the bat with an incredible aroma on the grind - deep chocolate, earthiness, and spice. It drinks well as both espresso and filter, with chocolate, earthiness and spice. It gets close to actually being black pepper spicy but I'd say the prominent note is clove.

In the espresso machine, it generates quite a nice crema and has pleasant mouthfeel.

I would like just a touch complexity/acidity, but overall have to say this is pretty tasty.

Cupping Method:I somehow ended up on the Denim website with a sampler to pay $2 for a $5 sampler. These offers usually result in getting some terrible coffee, but in this case that was not the result!

Had this as a coldbrew with cream, and it had a great chocolately smoothness with a bit of a kick, slightly spicy almost. I really enjoyed the lingering aftertaste, which was also just a bit spicy.

Prepared as a cold brew, this was a treat! There was a nutty, sweet acidity, that highlighted an otherwise an even, full flavor.

Roast Level: Medium Dark
Medium-dark or Vienna roast coffee features a deeper, richer flavor profile due to its longer roasting time. When selecting a Vienna roast, look for a lower acidity, bolder body, and flavors with dark chocolate, caramel, toasted nut notes, and mild smokiness.
Bean Source Country: Indonesia
Known for their earthy, full-bodied, and low-acid characteristics, Indonesian coffees from Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Java are unique due to their wet-hulling processing method. Beans like Mandheling, Lintong, and Toraja showcase the distinct flavors and bold profiles that attract coffee lovers worldwide.
