Sensational. Took me awhile to figure out what this was, but it was the incredible cup at the end of lunch at Osteria Francescana in Modena.

Solid shot of espresso. Clean, balanced acidity, and satisfying.

I've heard of the Lavazza (@lavazzaofficial on Instagram) brand a lot, but I haven't had a chance to try it until now. I'm starting with the Deciso Espresso, a bright pink pod, and I'm immediately blown away! Expect delicious intense roasty and woody scents the moment the hot water hits it. The shot itself is smooth and delicious, with berry and nutty notes thanks to the intermingling of sweetness and acidity. This coffee is incredibly strong, yet somehow, the sweetness still manages to cut through. The aftertaste can get very bitter, but it isn't harsh or off-putting in any way. A wonderful coffee indeed - 4.5/5!

The manufacturer describes this pod as a blend of Arabica and Robusta from Brazil and Southeast Asia. It is velvety and has notes of cocoa and wood, coming together to create a drink with an intensity of 10. An excellent espresso for sure, making me want to go back for more pods from this brand!

Having previously tried pods from Lavazza, I knew they were a good brand, producing sweet, flavorful and complex coffees. Naturally, I'm super excited for this one - The Lavazza Espresso Colombia!

I was not disappointed - I'm impressed with the complexity of flavors and scents this pod offers. Across the three cups I had, I noticed a nutty scent in the first cup, while floral and woody scents filled my mouth in the second cup. The third cup had a chocolatey scent that was equally enticing. Although the bitterness and acidity were quite strong, I still found the flavors to be delicious and the scents to be heavenly.

Overall, I would give this pod a 4.5/5 rating. It's a shame that the bitter aftertaste lingers for a bit, but that doesn't take away from the fact that this is a great coffee pod.

Looking at the manufacturer's notes on the box, this coffee is designed to be used for espresso, and has a 100% Arabica blend with an intensity level of 6. A delicious coffee overall!

Had this very good decaf espresso at Eight Cigar Bar in Las Vegas. Did not know it was Lavazza until asking after. Chocolate, nutty, clove, spice and smoke with a big crema, and very nice mouthfeel.

I drank a lot of this while I was in Switzerland, mostly out of an old school capsule machine. It's an excellent, characteristics European blend. Medium roast with a big crema, smooth, and earthy with a touch of fruitiness.

Not bad. Pretty balanced and not overhead sweet. Wont be my regular thing but pretty satisfying when I want a sweetened drink.

I indulged in the occasional sweetened oat milk drink, especially pre-long run. This one is just about the right balance of coffee flavor, milk, and sweetener for me. I don't get a ton of interesting coffee characteristics but the acidity level works and I give them credit for that. Usually not the case with canned oat milk latte type drinks.

Theres some sorcery here. For a very fair price, this produces consistently excellent results. Especially notable is the magnificent crema this blend creates. The flavor profile has your typical chocolate and caramel, with a touch of fruit acidity. Its the lush crema that gives a lip smacking creaminess and mouthfeel that makes this outstanding espresso.

From my notes that while it's not spectacular, this is a pretty solid espresso/Moka pot blend that one could drink every day without complaints. I also enjoyed it for a whole week in Bologna with a Moka Pot. Pretty balanced, smooth, with a lot of typical espresso characteristics.

A very chuggable and smooth cold brew that hits the spot, though is not super interesting in terms of its characteristics. Fair amount of water, though I wouldn't call it watery.

This is a solid medium roast espresso blend. I like Crema e Gusto more but this is solid. Good crema and body.

My go to for lattes and cortados. Always tastes good and is affordable. Made at home with espresso machine. Smooth. Not too dark. Not bitter.

I bought a super giant bag of Super Crema forgetting it was Crema e Gusto that I liked. Super Crema is good too but I'd say it's less crema and less gusto than super. Smells incredible out of the bag. Smooth, and balanced dark medium dark roast espresso. I think quite the great flavor and creamy head of the very best espresso blends for me. Makes good lattes.

Super satisfying sound when you crack one of these open.

These aren't bad but don't blow me away. Normally I'd like nitro cold brew the best out of the 4 drinks in the Lavazza sampler, but I actually liked this one the least (there were two sweetened lattes and the straight cold brew). I get a lot chocolate with a little bitterness mid-palate that overwhelms any fruitiness. Not quite the creamy/smooth I like with nitro.

These are ok. Satisfying enough. A little nutty but mostly chocolate and an slightly astringent acidity common to freeze drieds (but not totally unpleasant). A few months ago this might have been a 4 for me but Ive had a number of good instants on my travels the last few weeks.
