From the roaster: Warm days and cool nights in this region make for slowly-ripening coffee cherries, which bring sweetness and complexity to this cup. Our exporting partner Caravela, headquartered in Colombia, builds Los Rosales from the best-tasting community farms in the towns of Buesaco and Tablón de Goméz. Rosales takes its name from the diverse selection of roses grown in the area, along with the floral notes of this coffee. You’ll also taste cherry, brown sugar, and a round mouthfeel in the cup.

Incredibly smooth, easy drinking Colombian with a lot of subtle complexity. Very smooth with balanced acidity. Black tea, honey, and ripe tropical fruit are what I get. Outstanding.

More Details

Roast Level: Light
Light roast coffee is a delicately roasted coffee that retains more of the beans' natural flavors and characteristics. Light-roasted coffees have bright acidity, complex fruit, and floral notes. Light roast coffee does not have less caffeine than darker roasts because caffeine levels remain stable during roasting.
Bean Source Country: Colombia
Colombian coffees are known for their balanced taste, featuring bright acidity, medium body, and a range of flavors, including fruity notes, caramel sweetness, and nutty undertones. Colombia's worldwide reputation for producing great coffee at scale is well-deserved. Increasingly some of the best microlot specialty roasts are coming from Colombia thanks to their expertise in cultivation and process.
Bean Source Region: Nariño
Nariño combination of high altitude, volcanic soil, and proximity to the equator creates ideal growing conditions that result in coffee beans with bright acidity, complex flavors, and a distinctive floral aroma. Nariño coffee is often characterized by its well-balanced profile, with notes of citrus, red fruits, and chocolate, making it a core of the iconic Colombian flavor beloved globally.
