I can understand why my wife liked this a bit more than me, it has a smooth, clean mouthfeel she really likes. I like the sweet orange note here, and a hint of brown sugar.

This was a pretty ragged looking lot with tiny but mixed sized peaberry beans, but I think the roaster did a good job here.

More Details

Roast Level: Light
Light roast coffee is a delicately roasted coffee that retains more of the beans' natural flavors and characteristics. Light-roasted coffees have bright acidity, complex fruit, and floral notes. Light roast coffee does not have less caffeine than darker roasts because caffeine levels remain stable during roasting.
Bean Source Country: Tanzania
Tanzanian specialty coffee is known for its bright acidity and fruity notes. Tanzania has high altitudes, such as the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro, that allow for rich flavor development. Tanzania is known for its peaberry coffee, formed when one seed develops inside the coffee cherry instead of the usual two. Peaberry beans are prized for their intense flavor and, paired with Tanzanian's unique terrain, make for a specialty coffee drinker's dream.
