To start my day I tried One Line Coffee-Short North's (from Columbus OH) Honduras La Cueva. It is an Anaerobic natural processed. The tasters notes say jackfruit, dark honey, molasses, and boysenberry. As you can expect from a anaerobic natural it is untraditional with spikes of flavor. I taste the molasses, dark honey, and some fruit like raisin or prune. It has a medium light silky body with a pleasant linger. If you are in Columbus I would give it a try.Rated: 4.00

Had this washed Burundi at The White Rabbit Cafe and Patisserie this week, so I had to dig it out of my stash and give it a proper try this morning. It is a very fragrant light roast from 19 Coffee Company. The roaster's notes say Tangerine, green apple and grapefruit. It has delicate body with a slight pleasant crisp acidity. I can taste the tangerine but not enough acidity to say grapefruit. Slight hint of honey. If your looking for something light this is a good choice.Rated: 4.00

Tried something different this morning. I saw this at Costco and was intrigued. It is a Honduras, Guatemalan, Mexican blend. I normally don't buy mass marketed coffee, but thought I would give this a try. There's no roast on date, but there is a best used by date of January 2024, so I'm assuming it was probably roasted in January 2023. It was fairly good. It was pretty smooth, very chocolatey and you could detect some slight floral notes. No bitterness or staleness which you sometime get with Mass marketed coffee. Not as good as fresh coffee from most local roasters, but if you need some mass quantity coffee for an event or big gathering, this was only $9.75 a pound and it beats most mass marketed coffees I've tried.Rated: 4.00

I tried Moka Origins Ethiopia Light Roast, a another Pennsylvania roaster, which I believe I bought at Whole Foods. It had a light to medium body and a sweet, fruity flavor, but was a tad too fruity for me. If you like a lighter body coffee with above average fruit taste, this may be a coffee for you.

Tried Hawaiian Coffee from a true micro roaster from South Kona, Rooster Farms. So if it from Kona why is it Hawaiian Coffee instead of Kona?
From their website - "What is Hawaiian coffee? Due to Kona's extremely strict grading system, coffee beans that are smaller than 16/64th of an inch in size, and have a slightly more percentage of natural defects, may not be legally called Kona.
They are however excellent beans, roast very well, and are much larger than your average bean grown outside of the Kona region. By default volume and density, the larger the bean, the richer the flavor and the more the flavor compounds.
For an everyday gourmet and delicious coffee, but less than the standard Kona prices, Kona-grown Hawaiian coffee is a wonderful choice."
A less expensive option but still very good. Very rich and smooth with a nutty slightly sweet tast and good medium body.Cupping Method:Follow on Instagram (@coffeeyinzer) for more Pittsburgh coffee content.
