This a must try. The Roaster's web site describes it as "Tastes of caramel apple and nut. Overall cup – sweet and bright, medium-bodied, with a crisp, clean finish." I would say the description is spot on. If you like a light to medium roast coffee slightly on the sweet side you will love this coffee.Rated: 5.00

If you're a fan of honey-processed coffee, you need to try The Coffee Tree Roasters' Bleeding Hearts Red Honey Costa Rica coffee beans. The flavors are more vibrant than a washed coffee but not overpowering like some natural process coffee can be. The orange and brown sugar notes come through clearly, making for a delightful cup of coffee. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to try something new and unique.

The Ka'u Morning Glory from Big Island Coffee Roasters is a perfect example of a light to medium roast done right, with a solid body and flavors of pecans, brown sugar, and a buttery feel that linger on the palate.

Kona Coffee Purveyors - first discovered them a couple years ago and they continue to grow in popularity. Not only is the coffee excellent, but their pastries are a work of art. They buy coffee from Kona and do their own roasting. I really enjoyed their Kopiko estate.

I've tried a bunch of local Holiday Blends and this is my favorite so far. Deep, rich, and sweet is the best way I can describe it. Good job Redhawk Coffee.

Finally made it through my stash to get to Commonplace Coffee Fabio Caballero washed Honduran. This was a limited release for the company's anniversary. It was in collaboration (sourced) with Dynamic Coffee. If I would have known it was going to be this good I would have picked up more bags. It is a light to medium roast, very smooth, silky body and sweet. I mean naturally sweet. You can taste the honey notes pretty clearly. My daughter tried it and said she could also pickup, a little fainter, the rosewater. If it comes up again I would highly reckons grabbing a bag.

Tried another coffee I brought back from Seattle. It was an Olympia Coffee Natural Ethiopian. This is one I picked up at Seattle Coffee Gear store in Kirkland WA. It turned out to be a great cup of coffee. Sweet and fruity on the front end with a dark chocolate taste at the end. It had a nice smooth medium to medium light body. I would highly recommend it.Rated: 5.00

Tried Ghost Coffee Collab Unfinished Business Blend this morning. I was excited to try it and it didn't disappoint. The current mix is a washed Guatemalan and natural Columbian blend. The flavor notes say red apple, nougat and Caramel, which to my taste buds seems spot on. Very smooth with the Caramel sweetness and the red apple acidity at the end. A great way to start your day. I will definitely be picking this up again.Rated: 5.00

I really have developed a taste for Honduran coffee and I really enjoy honey processing so this was a winner in my book. I could taste the cherry, but I also some darker honey notes. It was a good medium body with sweet aftertaste. I would highly recommend it.Rated: 5.00

Tried Commonplace Coffee Nicaraguan Natural processed Yellow Catuai coffee this morning. I got the beans out of the freezer. (yes, you can freeze beans but I wouldn't recommend freezing ground coffee) and gave this coffee a long overdue go. I think I'm gonna add this one to my favorite list. It was a nice medium roast, with a full but soft body, not overpowering at all. I could taste the cherry touched by a smooth sweet finish. The natural processing, gaves it that pleasant sweet acidity. I would highly recommend giving this one a try!Rated: 5.00

Trying Commonplace Coffee Finca Los Lesquines Honduras Honey processed. Really enjoying this. Always been a fan of honey processed. Taste the nuttiness first then the chocolate. Very good medium body and nice lingering mouth feel. Really starting to enjoy all the Honduran coffees I have been trying. Will definitely be picking this up again.Rated: 5.00

Learned about Mayorga Coffee from their Mayan Blend I bought at Costco. Looked them up on the web and ordered their Bolivia Caranavi Light Roast. I was impressed. Sweet, smooth, with a silky body and a pleasent slight acidity at the end. I will definetly be trying more of their offerings in the future.Rated: 5.00

Had the pleasure of brewing up 19 Coffee Company Rwanda Kawa Yaca Natural processed. Perfect for a Sunday morning bright pleasant zing in its acidity, light but lingering body, honey sweetness, no bitterness whatsoever, and a pleasant lingering aftertaste. Bravo 19 Coffee Company!Rated: 5.00

Wow this is like a sweet breakfast. Colombia Narino Wilton Garcia. Honey processed. Light Roast. Smell on grinding is amazing. Roasters tasting notes Strawberry, Blackberry, and Jam. It is sweet with a surprisingly fuller body than I would expect with a light roast. Taste the strawberry and jam but also tastes like honey. Nice acidity. My new favorite 19 Coffee Company coffee. ?. Well done!Rated: 5.00

A good friend's daughter, who lives in Australia, sent some local roasted coffee. I tried the Vertue Coffee Roasters Sabertooth blend and it was quite good. I could really taste the caramel and milk chocolate notes. I'll have to add this to my list of coffees to order more of. Vertue Coffee Roasters.Rated: 4.50

I had a good, solid go-to coffee today: Convive Coffee Guatemalan washed Catuai. In this lighter side of medium roast, you can definitely pick up hazelnuts and Caramel. As I understand it, this coffee comes from a family farm of one of Convive's roasters.

I had the pleasure of trying Big Island Coffee Roaster's Kona Bloom this morning. It is a light to medium roast, made from washed heritage typica beans grown in beautiful Kona, Hawaii. I thoroughly enjoyed its smooth and silky body, with notes of milk chocolate and faint honey. While all Kona coffee is very pricey, but if you're going to treat yourself this is a roaster that you can't go wrong with.

Trying the Ka'u Coffee Mill Medium Roast from Hawaii. I think their website has the tasting notes correct on this one.
"Bright aroma, delicate but authoritative, with a rich and sweet acidity.
First, you will note the classic fruit/floral aromatics that lean toward chocolate. In the first sip, you will taste the complex and balanced flavor with notes of plum and citrus, which then cleanly carry through into the long, sweet finish."
This is a fairly new coffee area on the Big Island South East of Kona. It was a sugar cane area until the late 1990s, now growing Macadamia nuts and coffee. If you want to try a less expensive alternative to Kona, I would give this a try.Cupping Method:Follow @coffeeyinzer on Instagram from more great coffee recommendations

One to try if you're in Honolulu is Knots Coffee Roasters Hawaii. It is located in Queen Kapiolani Hotel Waikk Beach near the Zoo. It is a great little shop with outstanding coffee. They use well-known Big Island Roasters for their coffee. They have Kona, Maui, and a signature blend that is a mix of Nicaragua, Columbia, Peru, and Kona. The blend was very good.
