The Official Decaf Metcalf Coffee is a specialty coffee blend for D.K. Metcalf of the Seattle Seahawks. This is an exquisite blend of decaffeinated beans from Guatemala and Papua New Guinea, distinguishable by its sweet yet bold flavor, and rich full body.

Donations from sales of this coffee will be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Prison Fellowship. "Tessitore has blessed the deal, with Metcalf and him making sure part of the proceeds will be donated to charities of their choice" - ESPN inspired by the Monday Night Football game on December 2, 2019, when play-by-play broadcaster Joe Tessitore was in the middle of calling a D.K. Metcalf play, he called the super-strong rookie “Decaf Metcalf.” This accidental gaffe resulted in a social media explosion of fun jokes and memes. Rated a low acid coffee due to the lower acidity.

Decaf
Decaffeinated coffee has undergone a process to remove most of the caffeine content while preserving its flavor and aroma. There are three primary decaffeination methods. The solvent-based method involves soaking coffee beans in water to dissolve the caffeine, followed by adding a solvent, such as methylene chloride or ethyl acetate, to bind to the caffeine molecules selectively. The Swiss Water Process (SWP) is a chemical-free method that relies on the principles of solubility and osmosis. Finally, the carbon dioxide method involves using supercritical carbon dioxide to extract caffeine from the coffee beans. Decaf coffee typically retains most of the flavor and aroma of regular coffee but with a significantly reduced caffeine content (around 2-3%).
