Balanced roast that has the best traits of Indian coffee. Great depth in chicolate, a touch of earthiness, a toffee natural sweetness. Plum jam acidity that reminds me a little of some raisin crackers I used to like. I'd like a little more sweetness.

More Details

Roast Level: Light Medium
A Light Medium Roast coffee, sometimes referred to as a "City Roast" or "American Roast," lies between a light and medium roast. This roast level strikes a balance by preserving the coffee bean's unique characteristics while allowing for a moderate development of body and flavor. The beans have a medium brown color, exhibiting a slight sheen of oils, providing a more balanced and nuanced flavor profile. A Light Medium Roast typically highlights the coffee's inherent fruity, floral, or citrus notes, while also providing some of the deeper, richer flavors associated with medium roasts.
Bean Source Country: India
India is a huge country with diverse growing regions, such as Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, each offering unique flavor profiles due to varied elevations, microclimates, and soil types. These coffees often exhibit low acidity, full body, and a range of flavors, including spicy, earthy, and chocolatey notes. These characteristics made Indian coffee sought after for blends, but the specialty coffee world is increasingly discovering the terroir of varied Indian lots.
Bean Source Region: Karnataka
Karnataka, situated in the southwestern part of India, is characterized by its diverse terroir comprising the lush Western Ghats, rich loamy soil, and a favorable climate, making it one of the prime coffee-producing regions of the country. The coffee beans from this region often exude rich flavors with notes of spices, chocolate, and tropical fruits, underscored by a mild acidity and a full body, resulting from the unique interplay of its altitude, rainfall, and soil composition.
