We are intensely interested in reimagining—both technologically and logistically—everything we have come to know about coffee. We are inspired by the boundlessness of possibility, and allow ourselves the freedom to work with whatever coffees we find inspiring, no matter how high the cost or how small the lot. We intimately understand that we are only as good as the raw coffees we work with, and the majority of that burden is carried by the individuals who produce our extraordinary coffees. We work closely with our partners to steadily reinvest and improve upon the work they are doing at origin. We are committed to complete transparency in our practices to ensure that we are held accountable as we conduct business in an honest and forthright manner. We believe that informed consumers are essential to ensuring the sustainability of our industry.

I drank this as part of Leaderboard Season 13 (coffee #9 out of 10).

I liked this coffee a lot. It's quite clean but has a lot going on, as the best Sidras are. It's my first Ecuadorian Sidra, and I think it expresses itself similar to the Colombian ones I've had.

For me it starts off with a bit of strawberry and black tea. It has some lemon/tangerine in the background, and is a touch herbal and a touch floral

Cupping Method:Pourover v60, 18:1 ratio. Came out really well at 199 degrees.

Somewhat small, irregular beans. Very fruity with almond at the beginning, the strawberry, starfruit, and tropical acidity. Maybe a bit of peach. Tilting towards the fruity/acidic side but many will like. Got some bergamot on the second cupping.

    Quite good!

Fruity, nice acidity, still smooth. Peach and tea!

Delicate and smooth coffee on the nose and sip. The aroma is a bit muted. I contemplated giving this a 3.5 instead of 4 on the aroma, mainly because I expect so much more out of Gesha's. I was really looking for more floral and jasmine notes. I just think this could've been great, but wasn't quite.
Now, I could drink this coffee every day if I wanted to, because of the balance and acidity.
I'll also note that Sey brewed this via Aeropress at their brooklyn location/roastery. I'm not a big fan of Aeropress brewing and am sure that a nice v60 would've produced more of the floral notes.
    Notes:
    - Mild Jasmine
    - Very mild Honeysuckle
    - Quite a bit of caramel sweetness (as it cooled after about 3-4 mins)

Cupping Method:Aeropress brewed at Sey location in Brooklyn.

Characteristic carefully roasted Ethiopian with a tea platform, white peach, slight honeysuckle florals. Light lemon. Silky mouthfeel. The peach is really nice. I've had some Ethiopians this year that I've been more interesting, but this is a classic.

    Cupping Method:V60, 196F, 18:1, just had a single 20g sample

I like this coffee, notably, more than another Kenyan I had today from a top roaster. Smooth with a pleasant mouthfeel. Lead note of strongly brewed black tea, then a very interesting blueberry/rose hip note. I'll take more brightness there but very well balanced. Mostly clean finish with a touch of hoppiness. Overall, I'm looking for a bit more more brightness and complexity but it's a very good cup.

Cupping Method:I got this in a coffee swap.

    Made 18:1, 197F in v60

It's almost 6 weeks out from the roast date but can't say I see that it would have been a 5-star for me even with optimal timing.
