The best specialty coffee I have ever tasted was an expensive Geisha bean from Panama. We purchased the beans from a small roastery in Hamilton New Zealand call Grey Roasting Co (for a fairly hefty price). I opted to brew the beans as pour-over through the Clever Dripper (I find the Clever easier to get consistent results than V60 or Kalita Wave.

The resulting brew was truly delicious and I think the best I have ever brewed. It just tasted so light and smooth for want of a better word. I am not the best at identifying tasting notes but it was very fruity and balanced.

More Details

Bean Source Country: Panama
Panamanian coffee stands out for its exceptional flavor profiles, high quality, and varied growing conditions. Hailing from distinct regions such as Boquete, Volcán, and Renacimiento, these beans often exhibit bright, fruity, chocolatey notes. The unique microclimates, rich volcanic soil, and high elevations in Panama contribute to the coffee's outstanding taste and complexity.
