Was in Greensburg this week and stopped in The White Rabbit Cafe and Patisserie. Very cool space. Very open and welcoming with some amazing sweets. The coffee comes from 19 Coffee Company who I am finding lots of places. I had their Burundi on drip which was a light roast that I really enjoyed. If your in Greensburg it is worth a stop.

Had this washed Burundi at The White Rabbit Cafe and Patisserie this week, so I had to dig it out of my stash and give it a proper try this morning. It is a very fragrant light roast from 19 Coffee Company. The roasters notes say Tangerine, green apple and grapfruit. It has delicate body with a slight pleasant crisp acidity. I can taste the tangerine but not enough acidity to say grapefruit. Slight hint of honey. If your looking for something light this is a good choice.

More Details

Roast Level: Light Medium
A Light Medium Roast coffee, sometimes referred to as a "City Roast" or "American Roast," lies between a light and medium roast. This roast level strikes a balance by preserving the coffee bean's unique characteristics while allowing for a moderate development of body and flavor. The beans have a medium brown color, exhibiting a slight sheen of oils, providing a more balanced and nuanced flavor profile. A Light Medium Roast typically highlights the coffee's inherent fruity, floral, or citrus notes, while also providing some of the deeper, richer flavors associated with medium roasts.
Bean Source Country: Burundi
Burundi is a small landlocked East African nation. Grown predominantly on the high-altitude slopes of the country's mountainous regions, Burundi coffee benefits from rich volcanic soils and favorable climate conditions, which impart a vibrant acidity and pronounced fruitiness to the beans. Burundian coffee often has nuanced notes of red fruit, such as cherry, currant, and raspberry, while lending it a delicate floral undertone. This harmonious blend of flavors is further complemented by a medium body, crisp citrus brightness, and a lingering sweet finish, making Burundian coffee a sought-after (and sometimes hard-to-find) treasure in specialty coffees.
