I loved this coffee. It was naturally sweet and tart with a really nice long, complex acidity at the end. I got notes of jasmine tea, raspberry, fresh plum, green apple jolly rancher, and tropical fruit. Just a lively, fun roast.Cupping Method:One time with Chemex, one time with Hario v60. I totally missed adding my writeup for this one.
This Ethiopian espresso from Swerl makes an immediate impression with its sweet chocolate aroma wafting from the bag. When pulled, it produces a light-to-medium crema. It's not the type of espresso that needs a thick crema.
The flavor profile is peach-forward, sort of the tart but sweet early season ones, layered with a prominent Earl Grey tea note that adds depth. Its brightness shines through in the acidity, yet it stays well-balanced, avoiding any harshness. The mouthfeel offers moderate complexity, leading to a clean and refreshing peach tea finish. A great choice for those who appreciate a bright, nuanced espresso with just the right touch of sweetness and finesse.Cupping Method:almost exclusively as espresso. A bit too late for my wife's preference for lattes so I basically drank a whole bag by myself. Came from Revolver website.

I personally thought this was pretty good although my tasting notes didn't really match up at all to the roasters. I got a more traditional canyon with some blackberry, red fruit, smooth mouth feel. this was from the revolver advent so I feel like sometimes some of the details get lost in the translation with the cards and I couldn't find a lot of the detail on the specific coffee so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and just grading it like a normal Kenyan.Cupping Method:Hario v60, 18:1, 198F

Silky clean Gesha I picked up from Easydays. Tea driven with a smooth, honeyed mouthfeel. It has a very slight melon and white flower undertone. It could use a winning secondary note but it's an enjoyable coffee and would probably be very reasonable for the quality in Sweden.

This is my third Swerl coffee in a month, which is kind of wild for a Swedish roaster to show up in my rotation so often. I would put this one around a B or B minus for my palate. The cup opens with some genuinely nice notes, especially blackberry and a clear lemon like acidity that gives it snap up front. But as it moves through the middle and into the finish, it starts to lose balance. The sweetness and mouthfeel do not really follow through, and the later palate turns a bit cloying. There is also a drying, slightly tannic sensation that reminds me of what you get from an over brewed cup of tea. Not a bad coffee at all, and the fruit and acidity are solid, but it does not quite come together for me in the back half.Cupping Method:Leaderboard S20

Ted liked this one more than me. I liked the aroma, which was like chocolate-covered strawberries. It was hard to drink hot and bitter at first but got better as it cooled. I thought it was complex but not smooth/easy-to-drink. -
