One of the better drip blends I can remember having. Chocolate, very smooth very balanced, absolutely delicious filter blend. A lot of enjoyable fruitiness, fresh strawberry, red apple, red grape. Kept getting better as I drank it and I probably drank more than I should have!

When I had it the roaster said: "Current blend of Guatemala, Colombia and Honduras."

Super super smooth Colombian with light chocolate, blood orange, and some citric complexity that's lemony. Finishes very clean, and very hard to stop drinking.

A pretty interesting example of a well-executed natural washed coffee that retains the sweetness but doesn't have any funkiness. Super sweet with an almost syrupy mouthfeel. I think it is extremely milk chocolate forward in a super way, and stays that way through the mid-palate, until just a teeny bit of acidity to finish up. That acidity for me was in the strawberry/blueberry/lemon range. For me, I'd like a little bit more of it but hard to complain about a coffee this naturally sweet and smooth.

    Super Fine indeed!

Very naturally sweet and smooth coffee with velvet mouthfeel. Chocolate forward. No bitterness or funk at all. A touch of black cherry acidity. Not complex and maybe could use a touch more acidity but very easy to drink.

A well-executed dark blend with nice, bright acidity for a balanced cup. The acidity is lemony/fresh plum, which goes pleasantly with the milk chocolate character and natural sweetness. Very light smokiness, very light earthiness for a darker roast. It's not too dark as dark roasts go, and when I had this the beans were all Latin American (which makes sense for the less smoky/less earthy).

    I've found Perkatory to be

Classic winning Ethiopian with wonderful mouthfeel and natural sweetness. Very smooth with ripe peach, black tea, and bergamot florals.

I think a lot of roasters and processors have started to overthink this so its nice just to have a well-executed classic.

I've really enjoyed the Perkatory coffees that have come as part of the Connecticut Advent Calendar so I was looking forward to this one as the lsat one. I just struggle with Congo.

This coffee has some pleasant characteristics and delivers on the grapefruit/floral/chocolate promise. I think drinks smooth and clean. But overall, I don't think it has a major winning characteristic that would make you want to drink it every day.

I didnt love this one. Odd mouthfeel and not quite crisp acidity.
