A super smooth, classic washed Ethiopian that is balanced across the flavors you might expect to find - some peach, some black tea, a bit of florality. Very, very easy to drink. I'd like a bit more complexity in the acidity and fruit, but just about everyone will be very happy with this roast.

I gave it a 5 because I think the processsing technique and roaster accomplishes very specifically what it's going for, which a super clean, light, easy to drink coffee that still has what you would expect from an Ethiopian.

Cupping Method:Hario ceramic v60, brown paper filter, 205 degrees F. From the Green Kettle Advent Calendar.

Low acidity, super smooth, breakfast blend coffee that you can drink gallons of. A little milk chocolate, a little tea note that's more of a pleasant accent than the main platform. I get a slight cashew hint as well. There's a lot of natural sweetness.

You can see the mix of different beans on the grind. Having had enough of these medium blends, I appreciate how hard they are to get right. Giv is a roaster that's been on my list for awhile, and I'm looking forward to trying some of their single origins.

Whenever I hear SL28 I think Kenya for some reason. Lo and behold as I did the data entry it's a Honduras. It's very fruity with peach/apricot and black tea towards the back of the palate. Perhaps a touch of pineapple. A little bit reminicent of an Ethiopian actually. A tasty coffee that you could drink all day.

Cupping Method:Green Kettle Advent Calendar, Coffee #8. Hario v60 pourover. Something you could drink all day.

A very clean dark roast that has a touch of smokiness with lots of chocolate. Some citrus in the acidity. It's not over-the-top dark, which is what makes it work fo me. There's a good amount of natural sweetness, and a medium body.

A very smooth roast that could use some brighter, fruitier acidity. Nice milk chocolate character, a touch of perhaps lemongrass at the end.
