This coffee is remarkable for a single reason alone - the unmistakable candied violet that hits mid-palate.
The rest is really nice. A very Concord grape juice lead-in, and a honeyed sweetness.
I've gotten just ok results from my previous Kawa experiences and I thought maybe it had just gotten too big. But this is the first blend I've really seen of two experimental type Colombians and it just really draws a special character and balance. It's bold and unique, and ultimately, quite delicious!Cupping Method:I stuck to 197F, 18:1. It did well on both v60 and Chemex. Photo is 22g in.

One of the better of many Ethiopians I've had this year. strong bergamot and lavender notes with white peach and concord grape. tremendous balance and mouth feel. Has that nice mid palate bite that a strongly brewed black tea carries. Really nice.Cupping Method:92C, 18:1 on Hario v60. from the Revolver Advent Calendar.

Blueberry wine, jasmine, funky, a nice note of bright acidity. Lots of fruit then the floral hits and finishes nice and clean.
Complex and delicious if you like naturals. Favorite coffee from Panama this year (as much as I enjoy those clean geshas).Cupping Method:92C, 17:1 in v60. Medium grind. Lighter approach helps tame funk.

A very nice espresso with a big dark chocolate note at the front of the palate, just a touch of spice and smokiness, and a chocolate/blackberry finish and linger. Medium mouthfeel and crema. Went very nicely with a chocolate/hazelnut pastry.Cupping Method:At Nouve, a French bakery in Lexington, MA

The acidity, body and sweetness are all very pleasant and in balance with a clean and enjoyable aftertaste too. It doesn't pop with flavours, it could be more complex too but there's not much to dislike really.
