Lush crema, wonderful balance. Chocolate and a nice roast grain note, like those fiber breakfast cookies you have in Europe. I do get just the ever so slight hint of the lavender they mention. A fresh summer berry acidity and undertone. One of the best espressos that I've found.

Gracenote just has espresso down. This is journey in 10 seconds, chocolate, the right amount of bitterness, a plum/blackberry pie type acidity, some natural sweetness, a clean, lingering, tingling, pleasant finish.

A little nutty in the middle, a sweet burst of fruitiness at the end, a nice round flavor that lingers. A pleasure to sip.

Distinctly robust and flavorful! There is a strong sweet chocolate base, complimented by a light citrus undertone. The finish is a bit dry with compelling epilogue of roasted nut. I am looking forward to trying this roast in a variety of brewing methods to see what other flavors are unlocked. Usually I stick to Vietnamese drip, but tried this roast as a latte today, and I am quite pleased with the result.

This is a uniquely- good espresso! Nice mouthfeel, a slight hint of bitterness and astringency, and a lot of sweet milk chocolate. I could be convinced I was sipping a quality hot chocolate.

Friend from Boston sent me some Gracenote Coffee washed Colombian. Never heard of this roaster but the coffee was fantastic. Smooth, silky, sweet, and really taste the toffee. I am looking forward to trying more of their coffee.

Eh a little frustrated with Gracenote. Ive probably referred them at least 25 customers over the years. This bag had visible defects and they didnt really seem to care. I emailed the roaster with pictures after their Instagram. Its my first quality control issue with them but roasters change over time and especially as they scale up.

The coffee was between a 4 and 4.5 and Im giving a 3.5 since I picked 10 defects out of the bag. I liked the unique aroma and notes (baked spiced pear was definitely there!)

Cupping Method:Espresso. See photo on notebook for defect examples.
