Tradition, freshness, and consistency form the foundation of Colonial's reputation and longevity in the coffee industry. Over nearly seven decades, Colonial has consistently delivered high-quality specialty coffees. The company's rigorous process includes multiple stages of cupping during the purchasing, roasting, and packaging phases to ensure the freshness and quality of their coffee blends. Colonial offers a diverse range of products, including varietal coffees from major growing regions worldwide, Organic Trade, Single Estate, premium Arabica coffee, and Swiss Water Processed Decaffeinated Coffee. Committed to maintaining high standards, Colonial implements strict quality control measures and procedures to ensure optimal results. The company also uses a Nitrogen gas flush in its packaging process, reducing the oxygen content in each coffee pouch to less than 5% to maintain the freshness of the beans.

I have had some god-awful hotel decaf, and thankfully this was decent.

Simple, smooth, and balance with low bitterness, slight midpalate nuttiness, and a nice citrusy acidity.

Theres nothing stand out here, but its a very easy to drink cup. Its almost like a caricature of Colombian coffee. I can see why Colonial is regarded as a reliable hospitality brand.

Cupping Method:This was the decaf at a hotel-business apartment called Mint House in Dallas. It sounds like Colonial is a hospitality wholesaler. I made it with a standard drip machine.
