Here's the first of the taster pods from Nifty Goods (@niftygoods on Instagram), the Caffe Tiziano Bonini Strong Espresso! This shot gave off an amazing woody and toasty scent when it was pulled, creating a rich full-bodied coffee with a powerful chocolatey flavor. The taste is well balanced and finished pleasantly, with less and less bitterness towards the end of the cup - 4/5!

The manufacturer describes this as a soft-roasted blend of Arabica and Robusta beans from four regions, to create a coffee with notes of roasted barley, malt, chocolate and nuts. It has a rated intensity of 9. Things are looking good for this brand so far - I've got quite a few more from the same brand to go and I'm looking forward to it!

Time for yet another taster pod from Caffe Tiziano Bonini - This is their Carioca Espresso. With a lightly nutty and roasty scent, I enjoyed the good balance of flavors here, with prominent sweetness. As you move down the cup, expect it to get somewhat more acidic, though not unpleasantly so. There is a lingering bitterness in the aftertaste, but overall, it's not off-putting in any way, making this a good example of a strong coffee that's not overwhelming - 4/5!

This coffee is marketed by the manufacturer as a blend of Brazilian Arabicas, with a creamy cocoa scent. I wasn't able to find an official intensity rating for this one, but from experience, I'd put it around 10. A good coffee overall!

ime for another single-portion tasting pod from Caffe Tiziano Bonini! This is their Classico Espresso, a pod marketed as a "traditional" or "classic" take on espresso!

The scent is chocolatey and intense, with subtle notes of spice. The pod is strongly bitter, and yet that doesn't mask its acidity and sweetness. The aftertaste can be quite strong, so you might want to wash it down. Otherwise, 4/5 - A very pleasant strong coffee overall!

Interestingly, the manufacturer doesn't market this as a strong coffee at all, favoring tasting notes like "gentle" and "delicate", giving the coffee an intensity rating of 6/10.

Here's another taster pod from Caffe Tiziano Bonini - The Forte! The manufacturer describes this coffee simply as a strong one, with an intensity of 10/10, and boy does that ring true!

The scent is strong and roasty, with woody and earthy notes (which are thankfully not too off-putting). The taste of the coffee itself is very bitter, with dark chocolate, nutty and creamy notes. Very, very bitter, as expected of a strong coffee, and yet a subtle sweetness manages to cut through. 4/5 - This is probably one of my favorite "strong" coffees yet. The bitterness is a bit too much for me to handle, but its flavor is just so unique I can't help but love it!

Here's a flavored coffee by Tiziano Bonini, a Hazelnut flavor! Unlike some of the other flavored coffees I've tasted, this one is surprisingly pleasant on its own - Primarily acidic with a fair amount of sweetness, with more bitterness in the aftertaste. Of course, the flavoring still masks the fragrance of the underlying coffee, so it's still not great on its own, though I believe it'd be much better with milk - 3.5/5. Probably one of the more surprising flavored coffee options!

Time for yet another taster pod from Caffe Tiziano Bonini - This is their Colombia Espresso! I found the scents of this coffee to be somewhat woody and earthy. Expect quite a bit of an acidic kick to this coffee, which finishes quite bitter. Overall - 3/5, I'd say it's absent of defects, but the flavors tend to the side of off-putting for me.

With an intensity rated at 7, the manufacturer describes this coffee as a light one, with citrusy and floral notes. This seems to be fairly consistent with what I've experienced here!

Consider me intrigued by flavored coffees like this one, the Tiziano Bonini Chocolate Coffee! When I pulled the shot, there was a nice roasty scent intermingling with what reminds me of Hershey's chocolate syrup. If only the taste could've somehow matched this! Unfortunately, I found the shot to be strangely bitter and acidic, complete with that throat-burning sensation at the end. Surprisingly, while the initial shot smelled strongly of chocolate, I could barely pick up any chocolatey scents after one sip.

2/5 - While I would've said here that this coffee would probably taste better with milk and sugar, I struggle a little to see why you wouldn't just pull a normal shot of better tasting coffee, and then drizzle some chocolate syrup onto it. For more exotic flavors like coconut, maybe having a flavored pod makes sense, but since I have a bottle of chocolate syrup in the fridge, I'm really not sure when you'd need a pod like this!
