Cupping Method:This was an AngelsCup blind tasting and we wonder if it could have been a freshness issue. Made with Hario v60
This El Salvador Los Pirineos from Whiptail is very easy to drink, and it's quite smooth and very low acidity. I have to squint a bit to find the notes I'm seeking in a special light roast. There's some blueberry, a little bit of peach, maybe some maple sugar. But it's clean, and smooth, so I do think this roast has a place for the low acidity/smooth light roast drinkers. It's a bit more unique expression of this form
A little bit earthy and savory for a light roast. Sage. Low acidity, smooth.
Teeny tiny beans! When hot has a strong steak of woody bitterness that makes it hard to drink. Muted a bit but is still present. Overwhelms the good Kenya red berry and bright citrus fruit character and black tea hints on the finish. Its actually almost amazing but then leaves a tree bark aftertaste. VSC and I both sampled this and agreed. We are only leaving one review.
