10/10. this is beyond delicious. i think this is my new favorite type of tea to be very honest. this is so full of flavor and smells so good and tastes like a warm hug on a cold rainy fall day like today. i did add a bit of almond milk and a splash of lemon but the chai flavors are still shining through! This roast is balanced, with just enough intrigue to make it interesting. Hints of lemon, chocolate, walnut, and a classic light roast flavor. I was pleasantly surprised, as I bought it on a whim-- I was in a rush to make cold brew
(this review is for fresh brewed, however) and wanted a ground option. The bonus is that it was *so* inexpensive-- could this be the ultimate best deal for light roast coffee drinkers? One caveat: my experience with Trader Joe's coffee is that it is consistent until it isn't (meaning there is always a possibility that their beans/balancing could suddenly switch but the packaging would remains the same).Cupping Method:Vietnamese drip, cream with no sweetener

Had this as pourover black first. Couldnt drink it black - too dark, bitter and strong for me. I added oatmilk and it was tasty. Very affordable. -

First off, let me state that I love Trader Joe's.
Now that we have that out of the way...
I think Trader's Joe's Cold Brew Black Coffee is notably bad with a bad aftertaste. I'm not really sure how to score it. It has some good attributes - it's not acidic. It's got a nice chocolate and some natural sweetness. It just...doesn't taste good for me, maybe a little bit chemically, maybe a bit woody/muddy in the mid-palate. Woody + muddy = swampy, which is how I think the mid-palate hits. I think that more acidity would help balance that out a bit.
This is pretty clearly a dark roast type coffee, but no clear expectation is set on the can, and that's a problem.Cupping Method:I bought a cold brew can at Trader Joe's in Acton, MA, and drank it one week later.
