Thumb Roast Coffee can currently be found in over 35 stores throughout Michigan and we also supply three companies out of state. Besides offering retail and wholesale coffee, Thumb Roast Coffee offers private labeling allowing businesses to brand their products and we are currently working with 12 private labels. History of Thumb Roast Coffee Thumb Roast Coffee is a coffee roasting company that was established in 2015 out of a desire to bring something special and unique to the area. At that time, there was nowhere locally to purchase freshly-roasted, whole bean, chemical-free coffee. As a result, Missy Bobo started Thumb Roast Coffee with her then partner Sue Balysh offering financial assistance. in March 2018, Sue's interest was bought out. Within 3 ½ years, Thumb Roast Coffee outgrew their location on Wells St. and expanded into a new building in Croswell where Missy opened her next business Rae’s, a Coffee House and Eatery focused on a simple, yet elevated farm to table menu. Rae's also features Thumb Roast Coffee, which is freshly roasted on-site. Thumb Roast Coffee started with three signature roasts and has since grown to offer 15 different freshly roasted coffee varieties including custom blends named Sanilac Sunrise, Freighter, Lake Huron, and Fitzgerald to name a few. In addition, we have launched 5 successful brands under Thumb Roast including Mom Fuel Coffee, Turnip Rock Coffee, Port Austin Coffee Company, and Rae’s.
