Seattle’s Best Coffee, founded in 1969 on Whidbey Island, Washington, began as a small roastery using a peanut roaster and later earned its name after winning a local competition for the best coffee in Seattle. Acquired by Starbucks in 2003 and sold to Nestlé in 2022, the brand has grown into a widely recognized provider of smooth, approachable blends. Known for its accessible flavor profiles, Seattle’s Best Coffee continues to honor its origins while expanding its reach through retail and food service channels.

Bland but drinkable. Caramel and slightly nutty. No acidity but no bitterness. Generally hard not to have a general sense of disappointment here. This is a M lounge coffee - I don't think it's that hard to print the name of the roast, the origin of the brands, the tasting notes on the placard. if you're going to bring in coffee at least do that. SBC and Marriott should both care. /end rant

This is a review for a decaf espresso from a semiautomatic machine at a Marriott M lounge. I happen to work all day out of this lounge so I got to try three different coffees from SBC. This espresso starts and ends well in my opinion, but tastes like an ashtray in the middle. For a dark roast, it does have some good acidity and complexity. It's just too heavy on the smoke mid-palate.
