Clean, fruity, smooth coffee that was unique to me as I tasted blind. I got blood orange, milk chocolate, light almond, light hazelnut, and just a touch of lime at the end. Naturally sweet and tart (sweettart?)

I can't remember exactly what a makrut lime/kaffir tastes like that the roaster has suggested but this was a great and unique type of coffee that is a reminder of how much better Myanmar coffee has gotten in the last 5-10 yeras.

Sampled a few days ago with Ted. Rated 4.5 but didn't leave any notes.

More Details

Roast Level: Light
Light roast coffee is a delicately roasted coffee that retains more of the beans' natural flavors and characteristics. Light-roasted coffees have bright acidity, complex fruit, and floral notes. Light roast coffee does not have less caffeine than darker roasts because caffeine levels remain stable during roasting.
Bean Source Country: Myanmar
Myanmar's coffee growing centers around Shan State, where Arabica thrives at higher altitudes. Formerly known as Burma, coffee production in Myanmar faces many challenges. Still, the small specialty lots with mild acidity, and earthy and wine-like characteristics are often well-worth the trouble.
Bean Source Region: Shan State
Grown in the Shan mountains of Myanmar, the combination of the favorable climate, rich volcanic soil, and altitude results in coffee beans with distinct characteristics, often featuring notes of floral aromas, vibrant acidity, and a smooth, well-rounded body. Shan State is considered a rising star in the specialty coffee world.
