Our story began in a real barn in Hopkinton, MA in the Winter of 1997 - in the backyard of Mark and Lisa Verrochi. Mark is a retired Navy Special Operations Officer and Lisa, a Registered Nurse. After returning to New England from the Pacific Northwest, Mark and Lisa saw an opportunity to launch their entrepreneurial Seattle-style speciality coffee vision. A premium coffee roaster for over 20 years, the grassroots company has helped pioneer the speciality coffee revolution in Massachusetts. Red Barn has grown into its Upton roasting facility, servicing its cafes and a wide network of wholesale customers. Red Barn has continued to build a local New England brand with a passionate, hard working team, providing outstanding service.

French roast drip with an inviting aroma, a ton of natural sweetness, and a smokiness that is clean and not overwhelming. A perfect cup for a chilly New England morning.

I grabbed a bag of this on my way back from a trail race in Upton. It's smooth and straightforward. I like drinking it in drip, espresso, and Moka pot extractions. Got mostly chocolate notes, and thought maybe it was a bit closer to medium dark.

Not very creamy but a very nice medium roast with natural fruity acidity. I enjoyed it but might have been under-nitrod.
