remember really liking an El Salvador from Proud Mary last year. so this one was a little bit of a disappointment. The beans are visually striking, with a uniform light brown-beige color and a large, clean appearance. On the palate, there's a distinct winey quality, though it feels slightly unbalanced without a brighter fruitiness to counter it. A natural sweetness emerges, accompanied by a hint of concord grape, but the overall mouthfeel lacks the silkiness typically expected from coffees with this flavor profile. While smooth, it could benefit from a brighter acidic note to enhance its complexity and bring out more vibrancy in the cup.
I didn't think it was that great honestly. not terrible, but not quite as good as the ones we've been having over the holidays.
This one is amazing!
