Metropolis Coffee Company was founded by Jeff and Tony, a father-son duo with a shared passion for coffee. What began with the spontaneous purchase of a 12kg roaster has grown into a brand known for its creative approach and strong ties to Chicago. Drawing on their backgrounds in philosophy and linguistics, Jeff and Tony infused their love of storytelling into the company’s identity. Today, Metropolis operates a 18,000-square-foot roastery along the North Branch of the Chicago River and continues to serve the community through its original Edgewater Café. Their coffee is available in a wide range of partner cafés, restaurants, grocers, hotels, and offices across the U.S. and Canada.
