This medium roast offers a chocolate-forward taste paired with a gentle acidity, providing a balanced and approachable cup. The flavor profile deepens with a hint of walnut in the mid-palate, complemented by a notable crema that demonstrates the coffee's quality through its consistency and lasting presence. The mouthfeel is smooth, contributing to an enjoyable sipping experience. Subtle blackberry notes add a layer of complexity without overpowering, leading into a mild, slightly earthy chocolate finish.

Its adaptability is further highlighted when mixed with milk, making it a versatile option for various coffee preparations. This coffee is an excellent choice for those seeking a well-rounded brew that marries chocolate and fruit notes with a smooth finish.

Cupping Method:I got it from Trade as an espresso recommendation.

This is a pretty cool coffee for not being a co-ferment. It's quite floral with rose, white wine, pink lemonade, and a lot of tropical fruit notes. The mouthfeel is quite nice the first half the palate and it fades out a little to be slightly hoppy and perhaps tannic.

I do think it's a little bit astringent in the aftertaste notes. Not sure there's much Methodical could have done to clean it up. 5 minutes after you drink I still feel it on the tongue and it's a neutral at best note there.

Tough one to grade because you do get the wow factor in the aroma and first sip. I'll focus on the positives and give it an A-.

Cupping Method:17:1, 92C in the Hario v60. I got this coffee from Bean Archives.

This roast has a lighter feel, with subtle textures and flavors. A little sweet, astringent, and chocolatey with a hint of nuttiness.

Methodical's Play Nice is the special ice coffee at Revival this month. Has some good characteristics, smooth, some balanced red berry/citrus acidity. It's a bit too earthy for me on the back half of the palate where the chocolate more hits.

Seems like a versatile blend you could use as espresso, pourover, and drip as well.

    Cupping Method:Iced coffee at Revival.

Aroma and initial taste are good. Second half is a bit off.
