This one is so subtle. First off, very smooth and balanced platform. Strong black tea resemblance, with candied grapefruit and bergamot.
A clean and very pleasant finish.

This one is super trippy. At the core its a recognizable Sumatra in aroma and natural smoky boldness. But then you actually get very distinctly the taste notes described by the roaster - bubble gum, pineapple black cherry.

To me, it smelled like chocolate and at room temp tasted a little like milk chocolate. Smooth, easy to drink, not bitter.Cupping Method:Pourover. Black. Angel Cup blind tasting.

I think this is as described (grapefruit, kumquat, hibiscus, maple). It makes it very interesting. I always admire when a roaster gets it spot on. Those are characteristics I like a lot but others might not. Grapefruit to me is very clear in this and thats not what everyone loves in their coffee.

I admit to not really knowing how to grade this one, it is so unique. Almost smells grapefruit and cocoa on the grind. It's buttery and has a bit of umami, but also has quite a bit of natural sweetness with plum/prune making a strong appearance mid-palate. That combo is almost off-putting when it's hot but it cools into a very interesting and complex experience.
I'd say I think it is quite interesting overall but not something I'd really want to drink every day.Cupping Method:Tried in Chemex and Hario v60. Part of Messenger Hendra comparison set with 3 types of processing.

I thought this one was fine, but I prefer the other coffees from this roaster. Dont need to have again.Cupping Method:Pourover. Maybe I should have had it with milk? I normally drink everything black.
