Mamo, a hybrid Kona coffee from Greenwell Farms in Hawaii is the best coffee in 2025 I've had. Notes of spice, raisin, cherry, blackberry and cacao. I've been a long-time fan of Greenwell Farms' Private Reserve (a great way to start the morning), but Mamo was a unique and very special cup of coffee.

Editor's Overview

Greenwell Farms traces its roots back to 1850, when Henry Nicholas Greenwell left England and settled in Kona’s fertile countryside. His legacy endured as his grandson, Norman Greenwell, and great-grandson, Thomas Greenwell, began cultivating coffee on portions of the original family land in the early 1980s. This new generation ushered in the modern era of specialty coffee in Kona and helped shape Hawaii’s coffee industry. Today, the company cares for 85 acres of coffee orchards, continues to develop new farmland, and manages another 60 acres on behalf of other landowners. As one of Kona’s oldest and largest coffee producers, Greenwell Farms honors its rich history while sharing the aloha spirit with every cup.
