Fuego is a specialty coffee roastery founded in 2018 by Fernando Lozano and María Conte. The company selects, profiles, and roasts coffee beans using state-of-the-art technology. Its products are distinguished by guaranteeing the traceability of the raw material, from the moment it is harvested to when it reaches the cup. Fuego strives to offer a specialty coffee that meets high-quality standards throughout its entire process, aiming to revalue the coffee culture of Argentina. The history of Fuego dates back to 1940 when "A los Cafeteros" was founded in the Colegiales neighborhood, a family business that supplied coffee to hospitals, soup kitchens, and schools across northern Buenos Aires. In 2019, Fernando and María revitalized the space and transformed it into Fuego. This was not their first venture into the coffee industry—together, they had previously opened the Negro specialty coffee shop chain, one of the pioneers of specialty coffee in Argentina. Today, Fuego Tostadores is one of the leading references for specialty coffee in the country. Its coffee is chosen by numerous gastronomic establishments nationwide, and it also offers consulting services for projects through its Barista School, Negro Escuela.
