Fuego Tostadores

Fuego is a specialty coffee roastery founded in 2018 by Fernando Lozano and María Conte. We select, profile, and roast coffee beans using state-of-the-art technology. Our product is distinguished by guaranteeing the traceability of the raw material, from the moment it is harvested until it reaches the cup. We seek to offer a specialty coffee that meets high quality standards throughout its process, to revalue the coffee culture of our country. We subscribe to the line of fair trade, so that the coffee growers of the farms where our coffee is harvested receive a remuneration commensurate with their work, in addition to good contracting conditions. The history of Fuego begins in 1940, when "A los Cafeteros" was founded in the Colegiales neighborhood: a family business that provided coffee to all the hospitals, soup kitchens and schools in the northern Buenos Aires neighborhoods. In 2019, Fernando and María recycled the space and turned it into Fuego. It was not his first experience with coffee: together they had opened the chain of Negro specialty coffee shops , one of the forerunners of the business in our country. Today, Fuego Tostadores is one of the main references for specialty coffee shops in Argentina. Our coffee is chosen by numerous gastronomic establishments in different parts of the country, and also provides a consulting service for projects from its Barista School - Negro Escuela.
