So trippy. Had Pink Bourbon from Modcup and AMOC, two great roasters and just blown away by these beans. Their flavor is so distinctive you can taste the clear, fruity, tropical flavors in the latte. Its very appealing and unique.

Cupping Method:New York Coffee Festival. Had it in a Minor Figures oat milk latte

An interesting roast that with a unique flavor profile. It presents with a certain earthiness, with notes of tobacco and a lightly floral hibiscus.

The dry aroma is very sweet with cocoa a hint of lime. Theres a medicinal note in there too but its not unpleasant, more tea like and slightly metallic. The flavour is very good, there is Lemon, Almond quite a bit of mixed nuttiness and black tea like Assam. Its not massively complex and it doesnt burst with fruit and florals but the balance between soft citric acidity and sweetness is outstanding. Understated quality this, and a great job from the roaster.

    Leaderboard blind tasting.

Medium small beans. Uniform, attractive roast with a few peaberries.

Black tea, cranberry, tamarind, pomelo notes. Pretty interesting coffee. Wouldn't have guessed Sumatran in a thousand years.

Incredible sweet aroma, especially post grind.

In the cup, very rose plus some lychee and passionfruit. Mid-palate there's a sort of grapefruit note that's not quite bright enough in the acidity for me. A good amount of natural sweetness and a smooth pleasant mouthfeel, like a drop of honey was added.

This is very close to being one of those sensational processed coffees, but just doesn't quite over the line for me.

Cupping Method:93C and 18:1 on the v60, 4 equal pours worked best. Hotter and more concentrated accentuated the grapefruit.

This is a very interesting coffee that has a different mouthfeel as liberica. It's very floral, and I think has a sort of rose turkish delight character to it. It's very full body, complex, woody, floral, creamy, a little smoky.

It's clearly a very well-curated coffee that represents the varietal to a T. It's more something I'd want to drink every once in awhile than all the time.

I tried this coffee as part of the Leaderboard Coffee game, season 10, coffee #7.

I don't believe I ever had Laurina, so that was cool. It was a blind tasting, and of the 10 coffees (all of which were above 4 stars) I rated this one the lowest. I felt like it might have been low-caffeine otherwise and should have used that guess either decaf or low-caff in the game.

In any case, I got brown sugar, sugar cane, black tea, and a touch of nutmeg, in a way that was aromatic but a little bit disjointed. I think it had some of the characteristic Indonesia earthiness and spice. It just didn't flow the way you want a complex specialty light roast.

I've heard amazing things about AMOC as a roaster and appreciate this fun out of the box journey even if it isn't necessarily what I'm looking for every morning.

Some interesting flavors, like pepperoncini and olive at the beginning, and then fruity.
