This is Podista's Supremo, a plastic pod with a listed intensity of 10. Yeah, I really didn't like this one - Grassy and earthy with a distrubingly chalky texture, I suspect the way the pod is packaged made it impossible to keep fresh in storage. The pod is very bitter, but it's the acidity that really gets to you and lingers for an incredibly long time. For these I normally test 3 cups before I come to a conclusion, but I only managed to do two on two separate occasions before I gave up - 0/5. I'll try this with milk to see if it helps.
Here's a first for this account - A pod that isn't a coffee pod! Yes, this is the Podista Poddies Hot Chocolate Pod. When brewed, it just smells amazing - rich, chocolatey goodness! The texture was a bit gritty, perhaps because the powder hadn't fully dissolved, but the overall experience was still fun. I did find the sweetener to be a bit chemically and sickly sweet, so perhaps diluting it down or pulling it into milk would be better. Overall, I would rate this 4.5/5 for the unique experience and delicious chocolatey aroma!
As expected, this was extremely bitter, and also really acidic - The latter of which being somewhat suppressed by the milk in the earlier review, while the former continuing to shine through. Surprisingly though, this wasn't too off-putting, as the pod also carries a very rich, chocolatey scent, which isn't too prominent when taken with milk before. All in all, 3.5/5 - Be prepared for a lot of bitterness with this pod!
