Unreal light roast espresso and god know Ive had a lot. One of the best espressos Ive ever had. Almost like wash of watermelon and tropical fruit up front, great balance, a bit of nuttiness. The beginning is very trippy but aroma and flavor are just delicious. Very complex without being overly acidic.Cupping Method:At the New York Coffee Festival

A very special and unique coffee with a massive tropical burst upfront, tons of natural sweetness, and a rhubarb twang. Also get some pink lemonade.Cupping Method:One of the best coffees from the New York Coffee Festival. Light roast pourover.

This was a super interesting coffee that is so floral and rose forward. That I think for me does make it more fascinating than something I want to drink every day. Its fruity with red berries and pineapple on the back side and thins out a bit. I talked to the Modcup roaster and the have this Wilton Benitez series where the beans can the same processing but they draw out the most interesting character of the beans. This certainly does that! I also had the pink bourbon from this series which was equally trippy but more approachable.Cupping Method:New York Coffee Festival

I only finished one coffee at the New York Coffee Festival, and it was this one. I liked the others I tried from Modcup just as much or more but this was one of the most unique. The roaster who served it said herbal. I did get that - a jasmine/green tea with a mint and herbaceousness. Fruit, maybe a pear and some light cherry were muted and secondary. Fun experimental type coffee with interesting floral and funky notes, but not in excessive quantities. Lead-in for me is ruby red grapefruit, a nice bittersweet version. Lavender and rose for the floral notes. I would've actually liked the rose hip note as some complexity/brighter acidity on back end would have completed it. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. A fun one overall, but definitely happy to get it as a sample rather than full bag.Cupping Method:I got this coffee in a trade. 17:1 in v60.

Delicate tea-like coffee with trademark Ecuadorian nuance. Whiteflower with a silky, honeyed medium mouthfeel. Pomelo fruitiness that trails to strawberry. Clean finish.Cupping Method:17:1, 92C in Hario v60 worked well.

Blind tasting. After 2 really amazing coffees out of the first 3 Geshas in the Angels Cup Gesha Black Box, I thought this was a very nice and balanced coffee but without the wow factor and balance of the others. Very tart/fruity, a touch more acidic in midpalate than I like it. Raspberry, blackberry. Tea.Cupping Method:Chemex Pourover
