Trying the Ka'u Coffee Mill Medium Roast from Hawaii. I think their website has the tasting notes correct on this one.
"Bright aroma, delicate but authoritative, with a rich and sweet acidity.
First, you will note the classic fruit/floral aromatics that lean toward chocolate. In the first sip, you will taste the complex and balanced flavor with notes of plum and citrus, which then cleanly carry through into the long, sweet finish."
This is a fairly new coffee area on the Big Island South East of Kona. It was a sugar cane area until the late 1990s, now growing Macadamia nuts and coffee. If you want to try a less expensive alternative to Kona, I would give this a try.
