In 2010, Robert Chabbott launched Java Bean Plus after a successful 20-year career at a leading coffee roaster. While already in his mid 50s, Robert realized that Java Bean Plus needed to exist. There was no specialty coffee wholesaler, especially one with an online footprint, that truly understood the needs of cafes and grocery stores. He also noticed that the specialty coffee renaissance was going largely unnoticed outside a select group of larger urban markets. Motivated by these insights, Robert left his job and established Java Bean Plus to serve the unique needs of coffee establishments nationwide. Since these humble beginnings the team has expanded as has the customer base.
