Five Elephant Coffee Roastery

The coffee shop Five Elephant in Berlin-Kreuzberg focuses on fair trade products and high quality coffee. In the middle of a quiet residential district in Kreuzberg not far from Maybachufer you will find the coffee shop of Five Elephant coffee roastery on Reichenberger Straße. The small minimalist-classic-styled café exudes Kiez flair. Instead of an elaborate decoration the focus here is simply on the skillfully prepared coffee. A world map on the wall announces the long journey of the coffee bean to the Five Elephant coffee roastery in Berlin. The owners, Kris and Sophie, travel to the coffee-growing areas themselves in order to build up sustainable relationships and closely monitor the process of coffee from cultivation to processing. The beans for the in-house roasting come from Ethiopia, Guatemala and Kenya. The Five Elephant pays great attention to fair production of the coffee. The self-roasted coffee is then served in the coffee shop at Reichenberger Straße just around the corner from the roastery or is packed to take away. Some snacks like Blueberry Tarte, Banana Bread, Cheesecake or Biscotti are offered.
